Across the Table

Across the Table is a non-profit which breaks down race and socio-economic barriers by uniting Chicagoans to share meals and dynamic conversation in order to lead to an understanding and appreciation of participants’ differences and common experiences.

Across the Table’s participants enjoy dinners that take place throughout the city of Chicago at ethnically diverse restaurants, community organizations, businesses and cooking schools. Each dinner group is limited to ten people and includes a trained volunteer who will guide and facilitate the discussion. Each dinner will be focused around a specific topic for discussion, but expanding beyond the initial discussion topic is welcomed.
